Giving this another go!

So I've been wanting to document all my thoughts, pictures, etc. but Facebook is getting rather annoying with all of the adds and annoying people, that I'm wondering how they ended up on my friends list to begin with. Of course there's Instagram and Twitter but there's only so much you can document in 140 characters or a pic. So I've decided to begin blogging again.
With all of the OCD and perfectionist in me, I am wanting to revamp my background and everything, but have decided to take it slow with this whole bloggin' thing and see if I can even find the dedication to write new posts haha
Here goes nothin'
Let's see how long this little bugger keeps my interest ;)
Till next time

what i've been loving lately

I have not updated my blog in FOREVER! I feel like me and Mr.Blog were on a sad sad break and he just bought a hot new pair of pants and I can't help but dip back into his irresistability.
(is that even a word? i think not!) Anywho...
I have been doing a whole lotta waking up early, going to bed late, drinking too much coffee, and being far too away from my style'd self! I feel like I've fallen off the train!
I got another ticket though and I'm ready to jump back on! ALL ABOARD! haha

MAKE UP: RIMMEL lip liner in eastend snob (063), RIMMEL lipstick in pink blush (006),
REVLON just bitten lip stain + balm in flame.
Who woulda thought such amazing little steals were right down the road in my thrifty targe' ;)
I have heard such great reviews on all three products so I had to give them a whirl!
RIMMEL lip liner in east end snob:

Thee perfect pink for both fair and tan skinn'd folk! Very creamy and long lasting! This lush puppy only ran me under 5 buckaroos! *jaw drops* I forgot it was that cheap! Great paired with your fave nude or pink lipstick, gloss, or all by itself! Gives your lips that flawless hue of SEXY! ahaha
alrighty-onta the next one!

Not a fan of Miss Nicki? You're kidding yourself darlings! Even if her music doesn't fit your fancy, this chick is rolling with the highest paid rappers of 2011 and spittin lyrics crazier than any female of the decade! (in my opinion)
I am a huge huge huge fan of not only her style, but also her swag! Her Viva Glam lipstick was a highest seller and sells on eBay for nearly $40. Not willing to splurge for a color as fierce as hers?
NO PROBLEMO!
RIMMEL lasting finish lipstick in pink blush is IDENTICAL! That's right ladies and lovers, it looks IDENTICAL! This dupe is creamy, long lasting, and makes me feel like the pink panther- rawr! haha
for right under $5- that falls into any lady's budget!

Last, but certainly NOT least... REVLON's just bitten lip stain + balm in flame

Ya know when you have an event going on,
have it be as little as a coffee date or as big as your wedding,
and you want thee perfect lip?
the kissable lip,
the just bitten lip ;) *edward cullen status*
the "i want to smile because that joke was so funny but i don't wanna look like grandma w/ lipstick on my teeth" lip
(okay that was a bit much, but you know you've thought that)
Well, this does just that!
I have a little step by step guide, tutorial you could call it, to using this dazzling little charmer
Step 1: Exfoliate lips with toothbrush
Right after brushing your chompers, lightly remove any dead skin w/ the end of the bristles (weird word alert)
Step 2: Line lips with lipstain
Use the felt marker looking end and line lips carefully
You want to be careful when using this side because it dries after about 30 seconds and does just what it's suppose to- STAINS YOUR LIPS! lol
Step 3: Fill in lips
Step 4: Let dry for about 30 seconds
Step 5: Finish lips with balm and lipgloss if feeling extra frisky ;)
& ta dah
now you can go about your day, kissing, eating hamburgers, wiping your face, (maybe that's just me)
and even smiling and laughing w/o worrying about grandma teeth ;) (sorry nana)
So there ya go kiddos!
Hope this helped! Good luck with your future purchases!
Love & virtual hugs!
-Nic

foundation

I am a HUGE MAC fan! Almost all of my make-up is something from MAC. For the past 6 or 7 months I have been an active buyer of the MAC studio fix fluid.
I really enjoyed how long is lasted daily and overall. As long as I was wearing a face primer, (Prep & Prime by MAC) then it lasted all 10-12 hours of my day. The bottle itself also lasted about 4 months overall, which if you know me and how much make-up I wear, you would agree with me that that is a long time. I was curious as to what other products would compare to this product but would be less expensive. A lot of the people I talk to tell me that MAC is far too expensive.
So I am hear to tell you that I have found what you need!
With similar packaging but a much lower price, I am more than happy to say that it is almost identical!
If you are looking for a full coverage foundation but for half the price of the high priced MAC cosmetics, here ya go!
I am an NC20 in MAC's studio fix fluid. When using Loreal's True Match I am a N1.
The color came out flawless & has lasted quite well, even through the rain and wind that I have been battling for most of the day!
So try it out, save money, & look fabulous!

healer

I'd like to start out by realizing that this blog was intended to be a beauty/fashion blog, but slowly realizing that it's just turning into a honest, raw, Nicole blog. And honestly, lately, I've had a lot more on my mind than beauty.

As I begin to grow, not only as a woman in general, but mainly a woman of God, I am realizing more and more everyday that there are two types of Christians.
Christian number one: There is a small hole in their heart in which they allow Jesus to come through. Slowly but surely, Jesus makes his way.
Christian number two: The Christian that rips their chest open and calls Jesus to make a home in their heart.
One is obviously more appealing to me as you can tell, just by what I type lol

I want to be Christian number 2! I want to eat, sleep, and breath Jesus. In all I do, I want people to notice that I do it with love, that same love that Jesus Christ also showed the world. At the end of my time here on earth, when I meet Jesus face to face at the pearly white gates, I wanna high five him and tell him it's good to be home. I want him to look at me and tell me I did a good job and that he's proud of the things I accomplished and the people I brought to salvation.

I wish someone would have told me life was going to be this difficult. If I would have known earlier, I might have spent more time making mud pies or catching butterflies as a child.

I'm thinking of putting a rock right next to my bed. Not to piss me off every morning when I wake up, but to remind me of the pain in the world and how I was sent to his planet to relieve people of that pain by introducing them to my best friend Jesus Christ.

So I leave this post, saying,
Try your hardest in everything you do! NEVER give up! Look defeat in the eyes and say "NO!" Laugh as much as you can and love as often as possible. Treat people with the same love Jesus shows you. Don't let your praying knees get weak & above all else...

Rejoice, because this is the day the Lord has made!
If that ^ doesn't make you smile, idk what will ;)
JESUS LOVES YOU!

Newbie

I'm new at this whole blogging gig but I figured it would be a great way to track all my thoughts, ideas, collections, etc, etc, etc.
You get the idea.

A bit about yours truly:
I just graduated from beauty school. Little girl in a big industry with even bigger ideas. I have a passion for color and shapes and all forms of self expression. I believe one of the reasons I was put on this earth was to make those around me as beautiful on the outside as I know they are on the inside. If anyone has seen me do hair or make up, they would definitely say that I am at my peak of happiness when I'm styling.

I know that God has amazing plans for my life and is going to take me to breathtaking places & introduce me to beautiful people. I begin to cry as I type this because of how honored and excited I am about what my future entails.

Through reading this blog I hope you begin to understand a little bit about me and my love and passion for not only the people around me but for my craft. I can't wait to look back on all of this and thank God for choosing me.

Jeremiah 29:11
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
